The Golden Rule of Personal Branding

I've noticed a new trend happening in personal branding.

This trend can make hiring managers and recruiters click unfollow faster than you can say "hokey pokey."

It's so simple to fix.

However, most people would rather take the lazy way out.

This week, let's discover the golden rule of personal branding.

Ready to get started?

With the rise of AI, this trend can cause alot of damage to your online reputation:

What is this trend?

Boring content.

It's easy to manufacture credibility with ChatGPT and other AI platforms.

AI-generated content lacks emotion and humanity.

If you can evoke some emotion in your recruiters and hiring managers, you will be the top candidate for the job you apply for.

Employers who get a sweet dopamine hit from your content will look forward to your emails and reach out to you for an interview.

So, What's the Golden Rule of Personal Branding?

Be entertaining.

In today's world, AI can literally do anything.

Some individuals can input a prompt into an AI platform and present it as their own.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for speeding up the process.

AI is a valuable tool for conducting research and helping you get off the blank page.

But, being boring breaks the ultimate rule of personal branding.

As I've built my brand, I've learned a few tricks to make my content more lively.

Here they are:

  1. Inject Humor: Humor is one of the hardest styles to master. If your joke doesn't resonate with people, no one will connect with you.
  2. Your Readers Will Feel How You Feel When Writing: If you're writing feels boring, it probably is. Put yourself in a peak state and do whatever makes you happy; then, start creating.
  3. Exaggerate: This one is powerful when used effectively. You can stretch the truth a little bit to let your readers imagination run wild. Be smart with it, but have fun with it.

There you have it.

Three tips to be entertaining in personal branding online.

These tricks work on just about any platform.

I encourage you to save this email and keep it close.

Refer to this email while you write. You won't regret it.
